DRUMMER BOY'S is simple and innocent
points his nose upward as he sings and dances.
BONG, BONG, BONG!
His drumming is enthusiastic..
.
Drum dancers play an important role in Inuit culture.
Through song and dance, they teach history to the next generations.
Louie has given us a Bear who is a Drum Dancer which is rare.
And Drummer Boy is dressed in human clothing: a warm embroidered jumper, a pair of pants and sturdy boots.
This proud bear is absorbed in his craft.
He knows he is loved and respected.
Always the unexpected from the Gjoa Haven carvers!
